The GT-30 Spectrometer is the state-of-the art in portable hand-held radiation survey search devices for the geophysical industry. It offers an integrated design with a large detector, direct assay readout, data storage, full weather protection, ease of use and high sensitivity. GT-30 has a built-in 103 cm3 NaI detector with a 1024 channel spectrometer and 4 MB memory storage capability.

In ASSAY mode it provides bedrock concentration analysis with direct data display of K (%), U and Th (ppm) as shown below. It has user selectable sample time for optimum field analysis efficiency.

In SURVEY mode, the unit shows total count display on front panel in cps at 1/sec update rate. A loud linear audio signal permits eyes-free operation. A running histogram shows more than a minute of data samples. This instrument has Bluetooth wireless earphone support for noisy area surveying.

In SCAN mode, it stores data in memory or outputs via Bluetooth to an external storage device. If an external GPS receiver is nearby, position data will be integrated with total gamma or assay data via Bluetooth.

The GT-30 is provided with GEOVIEW utility software to download the data that is stored in memory. All data in memory is sent via Bluetooth or USB to the GEOVIEW program on a PC. This may take the form of 1024 channel spectra, assay data or Scan data + GPS. The program also gives graphical and numeric views of the data, including mapping. The data can also be re-exported as a text file for further processing.
